Hi, I'm Katie Watts, founder of Katie Watts Nutrition LLC. I help men and women experiencing symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, cravings, anxiety, gastrointestinal discomfort, and sleep issues reclaim their energy, clarity, and vitality through personalized nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
With a background in engineering and a passion for problem-solving, I bring a scientific yet deeply compassionate approach to my one-on-one consulting. I've been in my clients’ shoes—sick, scared, and overwhelmed—and I know how isolating that can feel. That’s why I don’t just offer advice—I become a partner and advocate in their health journey.
Together, we peel back the layers to uncover root causes and build sustainable solutions. Because true wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s personal, and it’s possible.
My credentials include a Bachelors degree in Systems Science and Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health. I am currently practicing under supervision of a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) as I pursue a Certified Nutritionist Specialist (CNS) credential. I am targeting licensure as a LDN by spring of 2026.
In my free time, you can find me tending my farm’s pasture-raised livestock and gardens and cooking up farm-to-table meals for family and friends. My husband and I also love to fly-fish, so we squeeze in a couple of trips a year to chase different species. My lifestyle requires me to be strong, energetic, and clear-minded. I plan to squeeze every drop I can from this lifetime without my health being an obstacle, and I want to make that happen for you too!
What is functional and integrative nutrition?
I leverage functional and integrative medical nutrition therapies with my clients.
Functional meaning we examine how your unique biochemistry is expressing itself by identifying any environmental toxins, pathogens, genetic polymorphisms, or nutrient insufficiencies that may be driving cellular dysfunction, and then employing dietary and supplemental strategies to support optimal function of your body’s systems.
Integrative meaning I subscribe to the biopsychosocial model of wellness; our physical biology is affected by our psychological and mental health and vice versa. As such we look at lifestyle modifications and alternative therapies that drive both physical and mental well-being.
This approach is particularly well-suited to those suffering from autoimmune conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, food and environmental allergies or sensitivities, mast cell activation syndrome, and other chronic illnesses.
